Steam boilers are nifty devices. They can be used to clean and purify many products, which is why they have made their way into so many different industries. Here are a few of the industries in which you could find a steam boiler, as well as what they are used for:

Distillery industry

Believe it or not, steam boilers can be found in distilleries. These steam boilers are used to control the temperature of the water during the distilling process, ensuring that it is consistent throughout the process. The steam is also used to provide the final touches to the distilled spirits, giving them their specific tastes.

Food processing industry

Steam boilers are also used in the food processing industry. Various types of steam are used for different processes. This includes processing the food, sanitising food products, steaming the food, sterilising the utensils and cleaning the equipment of any dirt or food remnants to ensure hygiene.

Construction industry

You may also find steam boilers in the construction industry. Building materials, such as bricks, require steam to be moulded. The bricks are shaped and then placed into an autoclave, where a steam boiler is used to keep them at a specific temperature for certain amount of time.

Pharmaceutical industry

The pharmaceutical industry also makes use of steam boilers. Much like the food industry, different types of steam are used for different processes. Both clean and pure steam are used to sterilise products; however, pure steam is the preferred choice.
